The HRI Fisheries and Ocean Health Group Invites YOU to Participate in the Tagging Initiative
- Tagpelagic.org is part of the public outreach, educational and data collection component of the tagging and life history study of dolphinfish, Coryphaena hippurus, in the Gulf of Mexico.
- By providing recreational anglers with a unique opportunity to participate in a scientific study, TagPelagic.org is a continuation of the sport fish tagging initiative launched by Dr. Greg Stunz and his Fisheries and Ocean Health research team at the Harte Research Institute for Gulf of Mexico Studies, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
- This study is a continuation of the effort to increase public knowledge and awareness about this pelagic species in the mutually shared conservational interest of sustaining this important fishery.
